For a lean Salesforce team, the fit is about the combination: commercial clarity, adaptable workflows and people to help you deliver.

REDA’s assessment · Sources reviewed 19 September 2026. A comparison of documented approaches, not a controlled performance benchmark.
One plan for your Salesforce org, with no per-user pricing. Choose shared REDA credits or your own provider accounts. Plan limits apply in both models; top-ups apply only to AI included.
Choose from consumption-based and user-based options. Your existing Salesforce entitlements, workload and chosen offer affect the cost.
Compare the complete workload and the licences you already hold. More users alone does not establish which costs less.
REDA plans combine platform access and agent limits with either included credits or customer-paid provider usage. Salesforce lists Flex Credits, conversation pricing and employee access options; these are different buying models, not charges that necessarily all apply together.
Work directly with REDA to scope one problem, configure a bounded first-agent sandbox pilot and test agreed success criteria. Production implementation is scoped separately.
Build with your own team, a delivery partner or Salesforce Professional Services. Salesforce also offers discovery, sandbox prototyping and usage planning.
Name the people responsible for configuration, data preparation, testing and ongoing changes.
REDA’s scoped first sandbox pilot is free. It is separate from the self-directed Start free credit offer. For either platform, agree the delivery scope, dependencies, support and production costs before committing.
The managed package runs the core workflow in Salesforce and connects directly to AI providers. No Data Cloud or REDA-hosted middleware is required to run REDA AI.
Agentforce works within Salesforce’s wider data and AI architecture. Data 360 requirements and consumption depend on the feature, grounding approach and deployment.
Ask for an architecture and entitlement map for your specific use case.
A blanket “Agentforce requires a separate paid Data Cloud project” is not a reliable comparison. For example, Salesforce documents Service Assistant instruction/action plans without Data 360 enablement, while knowledge-library grounding requires it. REDA integrations and external channels can also have their own dependencies.
Configure instructions, record context and permitted tools. AI-assisted admin tools help refine the setup; business-specific tools and actions extend the platform.
Configure agent behaviour with builder tools and Agent Script. Extend actions through flows, Apex, prompt templates and integrations.
Show a real procedure, an exception and a change your administrator will need to make.
Both platforms support configuration and development. REDA’s AI suggestions need administrator review and testing; custom integrations may need code. Agentforce’s natural-language and deterministic configuration options mean AI-assisted setup is not unique to REDA.
Configure experiences in Salesforce, automations, portals and websites. Expose selected agents to Claude through MCP. Messaging can connect through integrations.
Offers Salesforce and customer-facing experiences, including service messaging and voice. Salesforce also documents exposing Agentforce agents through hosted MCP servers.
Demonstrate your actual channel, identity and end-to-end task—not just a connector.
Channel licensing, setup and access rules matter in both approaches. REDA’s WhatsApp example uses a messaging integration; browser voice input is not a bundled contact-centre telephony product. Agentforce MCP support has builder and configuration requirements.
Review message and conversation credit usage. Configure monthly user quotas, daily website/portal caps, and agent processing and rate limits.
Digital Wallet provides consumption visibility and threshold alerts. Agent and workflow design also affect resource use and running costs.
Distinguish an alert, a request limit and a spending boundary. Check what happens when each is reached.
REDA checks recorded usage before a request and records consumption afterward. Simultaneous or in-flight work can cross a threshold, so controls are not a guaranteed exact spending ceiling. Ask both providers to demonstrate controls under representative load.
Test configured agents in your sandbox. Review conversations, recorded actions, credit usage and incidents in Salesforce, then refine the configuration.
Provides testing tools and APIs, alongside agent observability. Specific tools and availability depend on the agent and Salesforce release.
Test answer quality, completion, review effort and cost per completed workflow.
Do not equate REDA’s conversation review with every specialised evaluation capability. Salesforce documents batch testing and a Testing API, and says standard Agentforce observability is included without additional Data Cloud cost; new customisations can be metered.
Selected messages, record values, files and tool results can leave Salesforce for AI processing. Training, retention and consent depend on the configured provider and service.
The Einstein Trust Layer includes contractual zero-retention protections with external model providers. Access and other protections depend on the feature and configuration.
Review the actual data flow, provider terms, permissions and retention requirements.
Running actions in Salesforce does not mean all data stays there. REDA’s provider arrangements should not be presented as identical to Salesforce’s Trust Layer. Confirm the required controls for the chosen model, channel and underlying actions.
Choose AI included, or connect your own provider accounts and pay those providers directly. In the customer-account model, choose a supported provider and model per agent. REDA charges the subscription, with no provider-usage markup.
Salesforce documents model choices for Agentforce and bring-your-own-model support through AI Models and the Models API. Availability depends on the agent, feature and supported model.
Check the exact model, contracting party, data-processing terms and complete billing route for your intended workflow.
Provider choice is not exclusive to REDA. Compare the supported reasoning and action routes, not a blanket claim that one platform is open and the other closed. This row was reviewed on 20 October 2026.

Read The Assistance Fund story“What mattered to us was giving our Patient Advocates useful assistance in a process they already know. With REDA AI, they can review what the AI has read from a document, evaluate the accuracy, and copy appropriate values into their workflow without additional work—all while keeping the decision in their hands.”

I configured and tested our community agent myself using the built-in tools, without a technical background. Once I had it ready, REDA helped us deploy it. Credit units are not interchangeable. Estimate the same workflow, at the same volume and quality threshold, including the services and people it needs.
Org or user access, active-agent allowances and the licences you already own.
Document size, context, actions, retries and completed workflows—not just messages.
Channel, data, integration and third-party services needed for your scenario.
Implementation, testing, support and the administrator time to keep it useful.
Org-wide access makes the allowance easy to share. It does not guarantee a lower bill for every workload. Light usage or existing Salesforce entitlements can change the economics.
Plan REDA usage →Our focus is small and mid-sized Salesforce teams, particularly organisations with 50–300 users. Team size is a starting point, not an eligibility rule.
These are reasons to investigate, not exclusive customer categories. Test the specific edition, configuration and support arrangement you would buy.
Use these questions to prepare your shortlist and decide what to test.
No. Salesforce offers Agentforce to businesses of different sizes, with consumption and user-based options. REDA’s focus on lean Salesforce teams is a positioning choice, not evidence that smaller organisations cannot use Agentforce.
No. Plan limits apply in both models. AI included has shared credits and top-ups; with Bring your own AI, usage is billed by your provider. Salesforce and other required services retain their own licensing. See plan allowances and top-ups →
No. Both need appropriate data access, instructions, testing and ongoing ownership. Packaged capabilities can reduce setup work, while a custom integration or business-specific action may need development. Explore REDA’s tools and extension options →
Not one for one. They measure consumption differently. Use representative tasks to estimate cost per completed workflow, including retries and human review, then add access, integration and delivery costs.
