A practical starting point

Check readiness before ranking opportunities

Someone re-reads the opportunity, reconstructs the scope, chases a document and prepares the client update. Whether AI can assist that work depends on where the records live and how reliable they are. This guide starts with the firm's information and responsibilities, without assuming its time, billing or engagement documents are already in Salesforce.

Identify the records needed for a client request, who maintains them and how they relate to each other. A promising workflow can depend on information outside Salesforce or in an inconsistent format. Make those dependencies visible before estimating the effort that AI might remove.

Choose the right kind of automation

A due-date reminder may need a deterministic Flow even when it saves considerable time. Preparing a briefing from mixed information may benefit from language interpretation. Decide the technology from the work itself, then compare data readiness, review effort and value rather than treating every opportunity as an AI task.

Keep client work reviewable

Separate automatically preparing information from approving its use. Establish the source, confidentiality requirements, intended recipient and person responsible for a client-facing output. Published productivity studies can inform questions to test; they do not establish a return for your firm's workflow.
