A practical starting point

Choose the interface for the task

A weekly service review needs more than access to records. The team needs the right cases counted, its definition of 'needs attention' applied, links to supporting information and an honest account of gaps. This guide follows that task from a question in an AI assistant to a reviewed briefing, using an illustrative Salesforce workflow.

Compare a Salesforce report, a read-only connector, a purpose-built tool and a configured agent. Each can be useful. Ask what calculations and procedures should be repeatable, where interpretation helps and how the reader can trace the answer. A connector's capabilities depend on its implementation and configuration.

Make responsibilities explicit

Identify what the assistant host does, what runs in Salesforce and what information each receives. Review authentication, permissions, tool behaviour and approval settings for the exact route. Requesting a concise answer is not an enforced information restriction; those are separate requirements to evaluate.

Test the briefing as well as the connection

Check source selection, deterministic counts, interpretation and missing information separately. Compare the review effort with the current process. A successful connection or attractive PDF does not establish that the underlying answer is complete, accurate or appropriate for its intended audience.
